While perusing my G+ page, I came across the above – and it seemed to hit home with the three ring circus – known fondly as the Road to the White House.
Just to get this out – I think Hilary is going to win.
No, I don’t support her. I don’t like her. Yes, I — do — want to see a woman in the White House, but one who’s worthy of the right – not one that will embarrass and not one that America will think “We’ll never let that happen again.”
I think Hillary will win, not because of her vice-president choice. To me, the potential vice-presidents on each side are vanilla. Their backgrounds are similar and traditional. Sure, they have policy differences, but they’re a wash, honestly.
(– Why do I have this paragraph here? Because I’m in Indiana and there’s a lot of Pence love floating around. Personally, I’d rather have seen Newt. Pence doesn’t influence me in the least.)
I think Hilary will win because, God bless, emotional fallacies. Emotional fallacies are logical breaks that rely and provoke on emotions, over logic, to win an argument.
(To be accurate, I Googled “Clinton political attacks on Trump.” Oddly, I didn’t find a whole lot. The first several pages where Trump’s attacks on Hillary… Hum…)
Anyways –
Let me think about this and see what I can recall.
1 –
Trump and his famous tax returns.
Okay – How about Argument from Silence for this one.
— Just because Trump will not and is — not — legally obligated to release his tax returns that there must be something wrong. Trump’s silence indicates that there’s something horribly wrong – which is not proven.
2 –
Womanizing
This is a biggie and something that’s followed Trump from day one.
I think there’s several fallacies that can be applied, but let’s go with False Dilemma. This is where two statements are thought to be the only options – A OR B. C and D do not exist.
Several women have come forward claiming to be harassed by The Trump. The Dilemma is yes, they were or no, they’re not. Without evidence, the worst is being advertised – yes they where.
— So, what this is really saying to me — is that these women didn’t have the courage (or where paid) to come forward and sue when it happened. Each of these women have no qualms, often with a smile or smirk from the limited TV I’ve watched, telling the story ‘as it was.’
Where where they years ago when it happened? Why didn’t they speak up then or within the previous years? Yes, I fully understand how difficult it is for a woman to say “I was harassed” or “I was raped.” It admits she was vulnerable… weak… embarrassed… no one likes to admit that –
But that – does not – hold true for everyone. Why so many and right now?
(…. and does no one remember Hillary’s husband? There was genetic evidence to support his transgressions. Still, Bill remained in office and Hillary supported him all the way.)
3-
Newspaper, media, and celebrity endorsements.
AKA – “We let you decide” and “Fair, honest, balanced” is a lot of buuullll crrrraaappp.
We all know, even if we don’t rationally realize every day, that the newspapers, magazines, major webcasts, ect – are owned by a small number of organizations. Example: Clear Channel Radio (now known as iHeart) operates about 850 radio stations in America. That’s probably over 100 million listeners a week – and some are forced to listen to it at work. If Clear Channel endorses Clinton, eventually listeners may start to support her to – not by choice but by systematically brainwashed.
—- This fallacy is loosely the Bandwagon — Since everyone else is supporting her, shouldn’t you do to?
If you know me (and you probably don’t), I think Wiki is the bane of students and should – not – be used for research. Lucky me, I’m not a student and this isn’t research. Check the list and see just how many newspapers support Hillary:
Again – since so many media forms support Hillary, how can unassuming and trusting Americans not feel the Clinton siren call? — without realizing it?
(No, the newspapers may not agree with Hillary, but she’s selling papers. We know the written form of media like magazines and newspapers, are facing financial problems because of everything online. The companies may – not – support Hillary, but need any type of income she can provide – and Trump has a lot to take shots at.
Hillary will win.
I, unfortunately, have no doubt – but hope to be wrong.
Referencing back to the quote –
A wise man can always be found alone. Well, Trump must be pretty damned lonely.
A weak man can be found in a crowd. Hillary is drowning in a sea of sweaty supporters.
Is the affirmation correct?
Is Trump wise? Is Hillary weak?
