Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

7/14

Short answer…   Jason didn’t notice my four hours of scrub-a-dub-dubing.
Eventually, I said something about it.   He made a vague guess and comment, so I just dropped it.  There’s no real point in facilitating an asinine guessing game.   I’d just get frustrated and he upset.

No point in wasting all that energy.

Jason 100%ed Bloodstained.  Although he stayed up till 5am to do so, I’m kind of glad that he did.  That’s something he and I used to do a long time ago…   really long time ago.    It’s nice to know that he can still do that –  Play a game for eight hours or so straight.  I think helps not to feel so old.   Something I think we’ve both been feeling lately — old.    After all, we’re over 40.

Bleh.

Whoever said 40 was the new 20 was seriously delusional.

My class is going well… all three students.  =)
I’ve got a five-page paper coming up this weekend, but it’s better to read three five-page papers that are somewhat thoughtful than ten two page papers thrown together thoughtlessly.  I looked ahead a little bit and their final is a ten-page paper.     We’ll just have to see how that goes.

Jason has started playing NieR.    Beautiful game, but he’s struggling a little with the opening.    It’s kind of nice.  It’s good for him to be challenged, just as long as it doesn’t become frustrating.

His mom came over for a while.
Darrell…  Darrell is a pretty unique character.    I’ll say that and nothing else.    I’d probably be censored if I did.    Yeah… well…  she’s okay in small doses, really small.  But, even then, she has her moments that could make people bald with frustration.

Tick tock.
Soon, in about a week and a half, we’ll head to Indiana and Gencon.    So, we’ve got about a month left together.    Two weekish here and two weeks there.    Then this type of odd fairy tale will be at an end.    The next time I come back, in the winter maybe, he’ll be working + school + tutoring.

The almost normalcy of this trip will be as a dream.

Course, maybe that’s the normal.    Normal can be anything.    It was normal for my mom and dad to work two jobs growing up.   Maybe our normal is something like that.    I hope not, but there isn’t a set standard.    If there was, it’d be like socialism.

Wrapping this up a little early.
The laptop’s battery is about dead.

Stay cool.. or dry…. or on stable ground.
Whatever’s best and keeps you safe.
