Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

Shhhh…

I am being a very good girlfriend right now.

Jason is taking his last test this semester so I’ve sequestered myself in the bedroom, door closed, and I’m going to be really quiet while he takes his test.  It’s a proctored exam which apparently means he has to allow Microsoft, Russia, and the government to record everything he says or does over the next three hours.    He told me that it even monitors his eye and lip movements.

Chrome is the only browser that allows that type of violation.

Just another reason to use Firefox I guess.

All this means is that I nor the cat can possibly distract him or the proctoring thingy will automatically default on the test.    NO DISTRACTIONS.

Which is really a shame as I’m pretty good with distractions.

But, never fear, I have both laptops, headphones, and my phone to keep me busy.

If students don’t turn anything in to grade, I think I’ll watch The Crown for a while.    Apparently, there are three seasons and I’m just midway through the second – thanks to having the past two days at the gym.    I’m around the episode where JFK was shot and Margaret is pregnant.

Think I liked the first season a bit more, but that’s to be expected, I guess.    The third season of shows is usually better than the second.

He’s talking to himself.
I do that too when I grade sometimes.   It’s a subconscious thing, I think, to physically sound out mental ideas before typing them down.

Status check –

Still haven’t made a movement on getting a new roof.
That’s unfortunate as it really really bothers me not to take some kind of action on it.    I also want to paint the ceilings.   The discoloration from where the water has leaked through is starting to upset me.

Two more weeks till this class is completed.
Yay.   Next up is a 15-week course, which I’ve never done before.   I guess it’ll be interesting or boring as heck.  More so boring.

Um….  family is okay.
His family is getting better since his mom is out of the hospital.

Forgot to take out the recyclables yesterday.

Make some sort of veggie soup with really undercooked rice for dinner.

Apparently, Jason is graduating and getting his second master’s degree this week but will continue going to college because he likes it.     Well, that’s unfair.    He’s continuing to take classes to help stave off the student loans.   He also keeps his tutoring gig in addition to the other job.

Graduation isn’t changing anything.
More of the same.
But, if it leads to the million-dollar a year job…

In the meantime, I’m still twirling in the wind.

I still don’t know.

That’s about it.
