I’m calling bull.

Yes, it’s a new virus.
Yes, it kills people, but so does the common flu if you’re old or don’t take care of yourself.  Getting up out of bed in the morning can kill you.  Staying in bed can kill you.  Driving in cars can kill you.   A chicken bone can kill you.

Death happens.

It’s apart of life.

The only thing different between dying through pneumonia and the coronavirus is the press.   It’s just the pr.

It’s a cold.
It’s a nasty cold, but it’s a cold.   Someone who has it feels bad.  They sneeze.   They probably have headaches.

So, you take some Nyquil and hibernate for a couple of days.   Then, go out and enjoy the sunshine.

In a year or two, some sort of vaccine will be added to the annual flu shot.  People forget.

The main thing is that life goes on.

I think that this is political.
The Democrats are continuing to do their best to tear down the current administration instead of following the rules — waiting for the process to decide and continue.

But, beyond that, America is being spooked by the actions of places like China, Italy, and South Korea.  They’re freaking out.   They’re upset.

This is going to seem cruel, but they have a lot of older people.  The people in those nations are also used to being cowed by their government, some under the penalty of death.

Of course, they’re going to cave and wait.
It’s understandable.   A bit foolhardy, but understandable.

Since these powerhouses like China are doing all this and clamping down on people’s rights, America should one-up them because we have a warrior mentality.   Historically, innately, we have to do better.

We don’t do better at a lot of stuff, but we try.   Lord, we try.

Instead of being better at not being scared – not being clamped – not being corraled, America wants to be best at their game.

Having my civil liberties sheared and the death of the economic system isn’t a game that I don’t want to win.   I don’t want to play it.   I don’t think America wants to win that goal.

But, it’s not about the goal.   It’s playing the game.

Course, we have our opportunities.
There are people making up ways to be protected.    Jim Bakker’s Silver Solution is a good example.   I’m sure that as soon as possible, there’s going to be kleenexes that have a special coating to triple the price.

There would be one virus that kills us all.   While zombies have faded from the limelight, the fantastic notion of an unstoppable virus making victims of us all is romantic.   It’s a theme that keeps replaying every ten years.

We’re in 2020.
The virus, along with the fires, famine, and earthquakes, spooks the spiritual and religious people.  They’re sensitive to these things.   Absolutely.  They should be and when everything happens within months of each other, it’s the Second Coming.

No.
It’s not.

All of this panic and fear feeds on itself.  A destructive cycle begins and, unfortunately, it loops back control.

American’s fragile feeling of self-independence is shattered and they want the government to run their lives until the crisis is over.

If and should the government take over, we’d never get it back.

It’s just crazy.

Wake up peeps.
It’s just a cold and things can kill you.

It’s okay.
Wash your hands and go about life.
