Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

10/20 – Biden examination

Is the election over yet?
If I hold my breath and cross my eyes, will all of this political nonsense be over?

I mean, come on.
Everything that’s going on just shows America’s slimy underbelly.

It’s just pathetic.

Not just the politics, but the attitude of Americans.
Trump is infected with Covid. Thousands wish him dead.
Rush shares that his cancer is advancing. Thousands… probably the same people… wish him dead.

Which is really kind of funny.
Without Trump and Rush, these people wouldn’t exist. They allowed what they consider hate speech to change their personalities. Normally good people who are intelligent and some, who may even be religious, wish pain and death on others that they don’t agree with.

How petty.

And these people want to usher in a new and ‘equal’ society. One where healthcare and college is free. One where everyone is the same so no one stands out.

If someone doesn’t agree, they should die – be canceled out.

That’s really Nazi, don’t you think?

They want to be tolerate of everyone besides people who disagree with them.
– That’s censorship.
– That’s closed-mindless.
– That’s group think.

I admire the core of this idealism.
No hunger. Everyone educated. Everyone housed.
A utopia, but at what cost?

The lack of free will.
Independent thought.
Freedom.

This year’s election is so propped up to be like Star Wars.
Trump represents the rebellion.
— No one has the best stuff, there are clear leaders, and everything is held together with duct tape.
— Biden is the Empire. We’re all stormtroopers. Taken care of, as far a we know, but live to serve. But, they aren’t hungry.

It’s crazy. There’s no common ground. It’s either one or the other.

Humans where cast out of Paradise.
There’s no going back – at least right now.

But Biden… I have to admit that I’m kind of fond of his history.
It’s almost Shakespearian.

Joe, a young man who plays off being noble but has a rotten core, lost his only love – Neilia – because of a dramatic car crash. She dies and her two sons, Hunter and Beau, barely survive.

Later, Joe marries Jill.
Jill, a married woman, is swayed by Joe and eventually divorces to marry him. Joe, who tempted a woman to break her Christian marriage vows, probably feels satisfied and completed.

He couldn’t keep Neilia, the love of his life safe, so he goes to a woman who has already provided herself disloyal once – by having an affair with him. If Jill dies or leaves him, he could claim that it would eventually have happened because of the way their relationship began.

But, his marriage to Jill just causes his core to become more rotten and twisted. Real love has left his life, never to return.

Joe (Beau) Biden is the favorite.
He is what is left of Nelia and Joe during a more tender time.
First born, Beau does his best to make his father proud and strives to be the ‘best son.’

Hunter, the second son, is barely acknowledged. Rather he is or not, who knows. But, it would never be enough. Hunter feels like he’s interior. He’ll never be the best. He’ll never be loved.

Joe probably despises Hunter on some level, but recognizes that they are alike – burnt. So, Hunter attempts to win Joe’s approval by starting to do the questionable things — funneling money, taking bribes. Somewhere, Hunter knows what he is doing is wrong and self-medicates with crack and other drugs.

Ashley, the daughter of Joe and Jill, falls right in line. Daughter of a twisted man and fallen woman, she’s the youngest and follows the path of least resistance.

She follows Hunter’s path, but also tries to be the ‘good daughter.’ By straddling Hunter and Beau’s positions, she becomes next to nothing. Eventually, she marries a rich man, but (hopefully) normal. Someone without political aspirations.

Ashley is ashamed of her family, but it is her family.
She is a somewhat unwilling participant in their underhanded dealings, but reaps the benefits just the same.

Ashley has a daughter – Naomi – who is named after the child who died with Neilia. So, she named her daughter after a dead child she never met.

Why?
Is this a chance to bring the Biden family back to better times?
A sprig of hope? A way to remind Joe of a better time?

Yeah, I could see a tragedy play written around this.

… I better start dinner.
