I think you should be proud of yourself.
From what you’ve stated, this term has been tough. You’ve stated that work has been overwhelming, and you have been increasingly ill all term.
That’s a lot, especially when you’re trying to do your best in college.
To support, I “forgotten” to apply all applicable late penalties and accepted assignments weeks past the due dates, which is against college policy.
I don’t mind bending the rules as I am dedicated to you achieving your college goals to achieve your professional career choice in medical billing.
I’m certain that concepts like audience awareness, grammar, and critical thinking will assist you in your endeavors and assist in effective communication in just everyday life.
This is why I was willing to accept assignments up till five o’clock the day after class ended.
Unfortunately, you did not meet the deadline as I received this message:
I know u said til 5 im doing as much i can i had an appt with a client today and just got out of there i tried thank u for being so patient with me
— Typically, I could have provided a couple of additional hours in the hopes that a few more missing assignments could boost the 49% into a passing 65%. Truthfully, I want you to do well and not have to repeat the class.
But, your email lacks knowledge and application of several key concepts.
I am your instructor, not your friend.
While I do not expect emails that are comma perfect, the complete lack of consideration to punctuation, spelling, and audience consideration demonstrates that some of the key course concepts are not acknowledged.
If they were, I’m certain that an effort to, minimally, capitalize the word “I” and spell out “you” would have been made. Basic punctuation would have also been employed for sentence creation.
Since the message demonstrates lack of practice, if not awareness, of effective communication, additional time on top of the late penalty waivers and acceptance of assignments that are over a month late, will not be given.
Final grades have been reported.
