  • Jason actually wanted to see a movie. Normally, I want to go and he doesn’t. So, we don’t. But he wanted to see this one and I was curious and we did. I’m glad we did. There are bloggers and reviews that will point out how controversial, good, had, or honest it is. I’m not Read more

  • Angels V. Ferrari

Disclaimer: I haven’t watched Ford V Ferrari or Charlies Angles (2019) at this juncture. However, I’m going to give this analysis thing a stab.   Since I really know what’s on the surface, I’ll be able to just sally forth without, hopefully, getting too much off track.  Besides, second and third-hand knowledge seems to be perfect Read more

  • It’s been a while since I’ve written anything about movies and television, so here it goes. The Walking Dead is probably one of my all-time favorite soap-not-soap operas. Since it’s been around for nine seasons, I’m going to avoid the backstory as much as possible.  And, yes, I know it came out over a year Read more

  • I spent an hour and a half of my life watching this because of two reasons: — I thought Brack and Michelle (or is it Michelle and Barack?) Obama would be in it in some way — which they weren’t.   Their names weren’t even in the opening credits.   It seems the Obamas have branched away Read more

  • Yes, I did actually see this movie. I was by myself at the local AMC.   I caught the 2:30 showing and was in the right seat in the middle.   I couldn’t get the awesome middle seats because I got there a little late. The theater was about half full with a couple of fanboys behind Read more

  • 3/28

I talked myself out of seeing a movie. I heard that US was a psychological horror flick with tones of anti-socialism and groupthink.  It’s a bit bloody, kind of funny, and would take many viewings to catch the entire meaning. I was going to watch it yesterday but sabotaged myself by staying too long at Read more

  • +++++++   Possibly spoilers. I won’t know until after I write it.  ++++++++++ Yesterday, my sister wanted to watch a movie. It was a toss up between “The Spy who Dumped Me” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” Ultimately, she decided on “Crazy Rich.”     I was A-OK with that.  It got better Tomato reviews that “Spy.” Also, with the gym Read more

  • I saw Hereditary yesterday. It was a 1:10 showing and about a handful of people where there.   One was a child – a girl I think – maybe 13ish.  She was sitting behind me and, as far as I know, watched the whole thing. This was my third movie I’ve treated myself to in the Read more

  • Disney – A 21st century fox

Foxes are generally considered cunning animals. Think of the fox from Zootopia.  Somewhere, under all that bravo, he had a good heart, but he usually acted on impulses of greed.  Other animals where easy and unwitting prey.  I suppose another soft-balled adaptation would be Disney’s Robin Hood.  That fox was hunted, cunning, and fairly prideful. • I saw Stephen King’s IT on Friday (the original day) at the 1:20 showing. So what? Why is this remarkable, you ask? I didn’t feel guilty about spending money on myself for a ticket. I didn’t berate myself for sitting 2+ hours without at least standing, fidgeting, or doing something. I broke away from NOA Read more
