  • When we left Ralph in the first movie, he had grown from being a scared and overly self-conscious bad guy with a good heart to a good-hearted bad guy. He wasn’t really bad.  Rather, he was just played that way. The movie ended on a good note.  Ralph stopped obsessing about what people thought about Read more

  • Checking in

Well… hi. I hope everyone’s doing okay. I’m all right. Believe it or not, I actually voted last Wednesday.   I hang around downtown an embarrassingly amount of time, so I walked myself right into the courthouse and did it….  setting off the metal detector of course. Which, I find amusing.  I set off metal detectors Read more

  • Walking Dead Observations

While I’ve been in my semi-catatonic stage, I have spent many hours curled on the bed around the Samsung watching the Walking Dead on Netflix. Yeah, I know it’s a wildly popular show, yadda.. yadda.. yadda…. but this is my first time watching it.  I’m sure I have a backlog of things to watch from Read more

  • Binging –  What a funny word for an anorexic to be using. For the last week, I’ve been binging on the Oliver Stone’s Untold History of America. I’m definitely — not — a history buff in the least, but I was trying to expand my horizons. Besides, the current political climate tends are fairly confusing Read more

  • +++++++   Possibly spoilers. I won’t know until after I write it.  ++++++++++ Yesterday, my sister wanted to watch a movie. It was a toss up between “The Spy who Dumped Me” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” Ultimately, she decided on “Crazy Rich.”     I was A-OK with that.  It got better Tomato reviews that “Spy.” Also, with the gym Read more

  • Reflections of Gencon

Gencon….  the reputed “four best days of gaming.” Okay, I haven’t been to a lot of other fan conventions to really test that slogan, but I still look forward to it every year….  although I would still like to go to Dragon Con, Comic Con, the Anime Expo, E3, PAX, the San Diego con,…  you Read more

  • I saw Hereditary yesterday. It was a 1:10 showing and about a handful of people where there.   One was a child – a girl I think – maybe 13ish.  She was sitting behind me and, as far as I know, watched the whole thing. This was my third movie I’ve treated myself to in the Read more

  • A rocky vent

There’s this odd phenomena happening.   From my limited observations, this could be a global issue.  All I know is that it has happened in my home town, surrounding towns, and even in Florida. I think this happens when a bunch of people gather who have to much time, money, and misplaced good intentions. I really Read more

  • It’s a new Era

A while ago, I wrote about NeoGaf, one of the original online game communities. Because of unforeseen circumstances….  that may or may not have been proven.  I’ve long stopped caring, if I ever did care, the community that was carefully cultivated and nurtured easily slipped into a new home:  ResetERA. In a way, it was Read more

  • Disney – A 21st century fox

Foxes are generally considered cunning animals. Think of the fox from Zootopia.  Somewhere, under all that bravo, he had a good heart, but he usually acted on impulses of greed.  Other animals where easy and unwitting prey.  I suppose another soft-balled adaptation would be Disney’s Robin Hood.  That fox was hunted, cunning, and fairly prideful.
