Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

News and other things

Just some random thoughts.

A lot of people are pushing for electric cars or, at least hybrid cars.
Okay.   That’s fine.  Cool, but the main gist is to buy a new car and get into debt.

I’m not sure how that helps the average person.
The last I checked, cars are expensive.   And, while the economy is on the upswing, people are packing a lot of debt from the recession.   If not the recession, just everyday life.

Secret:
A combustible car can be made into a hybrid or maybe even straight electric.    It’s just an electric battery.

Why couldn’t there be some sort of governmental offer that would persuade average Americans to install the electric option?  It’d be a lot cheaper and there wouldn’t be so many discarded cars polluting the ground by rusting away.

Cell phones –
Samsung, Google, LG, Apple… should all be ashamed of themselves.
Encouraging people to dump a perfectly working smartphone for a brand new one that has a small spec jump and a new gadget is irresponsible.

Smartphones have nickel, copper, silver, and other materials that are toxic to the environment.  Creating hype to replace something that works perfectly fine is irresponsible.

But, what’s more irresponsible are those who actually buy them.  Just because something is old doesn’t mean that it’s not worth having.  If that was true, people would kick their children out of the house after the first couple of years.

Or, maybe, there would be a children swap.   Every few years, the child goes to the neighbor to be raised.   That way adults would always have something new all the time.   Maybe being a parent wouldn’t be considered ‘old.’

—  This impeachment is bull.
I listened to the first day and it had to be some of the most boring and disappointment (on the Dems side) proceeding ever.

Months and months ago, the Dems wanted an impeachment inquiry.   Pelosi denied it on multiple occasions.   Bam, something happens with a whistleblower who is afraid to come forward but not afraid to publish a book for money….  that should be a dead give a way right there…  it’s a money grab….

Yeah, sure, protection is needed so give this person 24/7 security.   America is certainly capable of that.  Besides, there’s a lot of anti-Trumpers out there who have deep pockets.   Surely they could contribute towards the protection of this ‘brave’ citizen, right?

When accused, the person has the right to confront the accuser.   That goes back to biblical times.

This guy isn’t afraid of getting shot.   He’s afraid of ruining his career but felt the need to jump on the whistleblower train after watching some legitimate people on Project Veritas.

He’s trying to have his cake and eat it too while dragging the rest of America along with him.  The attempt at sensationalism is pathetic.  Even more so was the first day of the public impeachment trial.

If anything, this whole thing is a huge campaign for Trump’s reelection.  It also shows just how poorly planned the Dems opposition is.    Maybe the expected the public or Trump just to roll over.    Where they trying to get the public to impeach him?

That’s what they call voting folks.

Bullying is a huge topic.
My students write about it all the time.    For the past three years, the U.S. Democrats have been trying to master the ‘art’ of bullying because they lost.  Trump won.    Get over it.

This impeachment thing is becoming a global circus.    America, in theory, is supposed to set an example.  We’re the ‘big brother’ of the world.  The Democrats are embarrassing themselves and us.

If there is proof of wrongdoing, show it.
Show the evidenced.    Provide the proof.
The truth shall set you free.

Not what someone heard from someone’s brother while passing in a hallway.

That’s like the start of my student’s excuses for not turning in an assignment.

Just roll the eyes and move on.

You know, from the Dems side, Warren wants to tax the wealthy.   That’s not going to go over well.   Biden is just stupid.   There really isn’t a whole lot of options from the new crop of people who want to run against Trump.  There’s nothing wholely good I see.

Maybe this is just some sort of desperate play by the Dems to bring the president down to their level?

I dunno.

It’s stupid and I wish it would stop.
There are a lot more important things going on right now.

Give it up.
Give it up.

It’s depressing.
I wish I had say in how my taxes are channeled.
I certainly don’t support this phony show.
