Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

2/1

Today is odd, but it kind of feels right.

We’re not going anywhere today – cept for a pizza run.   Jason has been playing games for most of the day as I have, although I check in on my class from time to time to grade the odd assignment.

It’s Superbowl weekend.  I’m either going to get a lot of assignments today or nothing until Monday, after the game.    I’d prefer today… as it’s the due date and the day of the Superbowl is planned years in advance, but that’s how people roll.  — silly and slacking sometimes.

Back to today….   we’re certainly not meeting any Wizard Unite dailies or step count.   Just… chilling.   Sort of.   I think Jason is going to try to finish up FF XV and is fighting Ifrit right now…. so sort of not chilling…. but still, for today, it’s nice.

I hope I feel that way by the end of the day.  I think I will.
After all, I got him to dust the ceiling fans.    I’ll take that as the win for today.

Ifrit looks a lot more like satan in this game than others.   It’s a different take that I don’t think the other games have done.    Shiva was kind of disappointing.    Not her attitude, but her costume.   All of the others I’ve seen look pretty neat.

Anyway..  I think this is a good way to spend a cold Floridian day.  Just chilling, doing our own thing but together, not really worrying about the usual stuff or running around.

Just here.
Just being.

Tomorrow, we’re more than likely to spend most of the day in the maul.   Monday is work and here we go again on the roller coaster, but maybe there’s a bit of hope.

With every career fair, Jason meets big business and government departments.  Every year a potential big dollar career is dangled in front of us.    A career that would make ten plus years of crazy worth it.

Sadly, sometimes the destination is more important than the journey.

I think I have a slight crush on Gladious.  =)

Anyways…  sort of warm house with a cold raining day with a roof that doesn’t leak.  I think.

I’ll take it.
