Don't live the American dream. Live your dream.

Seriously feeling my age today.

Well sort of.
Had the eye exam and was notified that I need bifocals.
Well, actually, they’re trifocals since there are three distinct viewing areas.   But, it was explained to me that trifocals are no longer a thing and now all trifocals are bifocals…?

Whatever.
My dad wore trifocals for at least twenty years before he became legally blind.   He could still see and drive but bumped into parked cars in the driveway.   Supposedly, I have my dad’s eyes.  Out of the three of us, my eyes are closest to his in defects.

Can’t help but wonder if I’m going to go mostly blind too.
Getting old sucks.

I’ve been a little off-kilter for the past week.
I had this schedule where I’d wake up early, work out, work, and play around.    I got everything I wanted to do in per day, for the most part.

Jason is here for his yearly visit and my schedule is turned upside down.   I stay up late but have difficulty sleeping in.   I feel internally icky because I haven’t been to the gym in weeks.

I felt like I was doing so well losing weight and actually keeping a schedule.

But, it’s okay.
Just kind of icky changing, but as soon as I become accustomed, he’s going to leave.

…..  ha ha.
Just saw an article that says bifocals usually happens after the age of 40.

Yup.   Am getting old.

Did hit 60 in Wizards United.
Thought that’d be the current end game and I could sit back and be sassy, but nope.   There are whole new skill trees.   I need exp just in the different form of manuals and books.

Was expecting some sort of expansion.   It’s silly not to expand after a year.   Suicidal, really.   But, now there’s this red dot that I can’t get rid of.   Well, I can if I burn up all my resources to get new stuff, but I’m a hoarder when it comes to that.   So, I got to get used to this constant red dot.

Maybe I was a cat in a previous life.

I’ve been kind of wearing a mask.
We’ve visited a lot of malls lately and a mask is mandatory.    Most wear them without question.    I try.   Honestly, I do, but it — is — uncomfortable, especially during a hot flash.   I feel like I’m just melting behind my paper mask that is probably made in a concentration camp in China.  Sorry, re-education camp.   (Irony)

I wear it probably 50% of the time and endure the evil looks from passers-by.   But, generally, it just dangles off my ear.

It’s difficult to tell if the evil looks are from people who are jealous when I don’t wear it, upset that I could pass the COVID although they’re wearing a mask, or grumbly that I’m not following the generalized groupthink.

Dunno, don’t care.    Just curious.

Jason is playing FF Zero.
There’s got to be something with the capes.   Some are short.  Some are ragged.  There are a few that are non-existent and a couple that is ragged.    It reminds me of the different guns used in Dracula.   I’m probably reading too much into it.

So….  everything is pretty much okay here.
I dunnos.
