I hate to admit it, but I completely forgot yesterday was 9/11.
Well, I knew that it was the 11th of September.   It didn’t dawn on me that it was the anniversary of the Twin Towers bombing.

That’s not to be confused with ignoring the incident.   I knew parades and memorial celebrations had been canceled because, of course, covid.  I knew it was coming up.   I knew when it passed.   I just didn’t know that the tragedy’s anniversary was that day.

I know it sounds silly trying to explain it.

I knew the date was September 11, but I didn’t realize what that signified.

So, what does that mean?
Since the propaganda associated with the mass killings was canceled, did I cancel it in my mind?  Although it is important, the general lack of social recognition just blanked out.

Do I rely on the media to remind and/or tell me what I should be consider important?  Or has the scar faded so much that I didn’t bother to acknowledge it.

Maybe it’s the “I got mine” mentality.   I didn’t know anyone harmed in the situation and I wasn’t in New York.  Didn’t bother me personally.   The situation has been mostly(?) handled in the past nineteen years.

Maybe it’s because there’s so much going on right now that I’m partly numb.

Or, maybe I just forgot.    That does happen.
I forget things all the time.   It’s a self-defense and means I might get to dodge responsability.    It might be a part of getting old.

Dementia or some such.

What exactly is going on in the world that I can think of off the top my head.  What impressions has the media left on me?

—   Um…  The western half of America is on fire, apparently.   It started in California and has moved to Oregon.  One of the fires was started by a bunch of idiots during a gender reveal party.

Biden v. Trump.   Harris v. Trump.    Pence is apparently keeping his nose out it.  Biden’s family and handlers are afraid to let him go out of the bunker, let alone speak in public.

Biden needs a telepromptor to attempt to speak well.  He’s old, grimy, and has at least two major incidents played down  by the media – his sexual assult and Hunter.

Course, on the othe side, I think the media is really playing up Trump’s relationships with his children, especially Ivana and Melania.

Trump is a big, bad orange man who has survived repeated character assinations by the Democrats.

What else is going on?

Portland Oregon isn’t going to have tourist income for quite a while.

Megan M is an awful person but she and Harry have paid the U.K. back the money they owed.

Covid.  Blah, blah, is the joke over yet?
We all know this is a political topic.   Otherwise, no one of power would really give a rat’s patootie.

I guess that’s about it.
That’s everything the media has stick pinned into me right now.
