Has anyone else noticed an uptick on domestic violence articles?
Mom and daughter kill five family members…
Plumber finds bones in a customer’s pipes…
Rape charge to a NYC guy who promised weed and Netflix.
Mom takes pictures of her five year old daughter to sell…
Michigan man shot while standing in line at a haunted house.
Those aren’t made up.
They’re true and I haven’t even scratched the surface.
I’m famous for not paying attention, but were articles like that so plentiful before the virus?
There seems to be multiple new ones every day. Outside of a flash headine, there is very little coverage about them.
It’s sad, really.
I think the those types of stories, murder, rape, and whatever depravity of the day are more important than most of the rubbish in the news.
Well, not all of them are ignored. If there is some way to put a politicial spin, it’s blasted all over the news for multiple months. Revolts and peaceful protests happen.
But, if it’s not political, then it’s not as important…. ?
We should just ignore them or not be upset by the mom who was pimping her five year old?
There is just too much going on to make people outraged and upset. People are relying on repitition from news outlets to decide what they should be upset about instead of their own judgement.
The news makes some tragedies more tragic than others.
It’s not right, but expected, for the news to do that.
Is it the drama?
Are people more attracted to the drama than what actually happened?
Media creates the drama, hype, and gossip. Everything else just falls away. It’s not important.
It’s crazy stupid.
If the news really wants to be fair, unbiased, and informative, the drama needs to go away.
Just report, reporters.
Provide the news, newspapers.
The main words are right there in the nouns.
Stop trying to teach us what to be afraid of and what not to be.
