Is anyone else seeing the current irony?
– I think ‘irony’ is the right term.
In the news, we have Roe V. Wade.
The left is rambling over the potential Supreme Court decision to reverse abortion. (Does this mean that they would abort abortion? Hum…) There’s a group of people who want the ability to slaughter babies instead of taking advantage of the multitude of ways to prevent pregnancy.
I understand and support the premise behind it. Women are not property, despite the hundreds of years to the contrary. I know I become exceedingly upset when I’m criticized about what I put into my body when I eat. I can understand why someone would become upset about what comes out of the body.
— But, that’s why there are carb blockers. It helps provide some control of what is going on. Birth control helps control what comes out.
Anyway… completely off-topic already.
Another excellent and upsetting topic is the lack of baby formula.
Babies can’t eat solid food. Formula is the food of choice for many mothers. A lot of people are rightfully upset that there is a shortage of the substance that would keep their baby healthy and happy. Even deeper — this is just another example of President Brandon’s incompetence as this was first noticed back in February. Three months passed and his inaction is, once again, risking lives.
Okay.
So, you would think that the people who want to kill children would go to the stores and buy any remaining baby formula. Bing. Bang. Boom. They are harming and potentially killing babies and, essentially, facilitating post-birth abortion.
Hopefully, this isn’t happening. But, you never can tell.
Pro-abortionists don’t want their bodies regulated. They are, by and large, painted in the left category. Does that mean that mothers are on the ‘right’ side? Could this be simplified to a conservative v. liberal coincidence?
To further toss kindling on the fire comes Bette Midler. While she was a good actress and singer in her day, she has become — as is most of Hollywood — strong left. This means that she ” supports ” abortion. i.e. She doesn’t want the government to regulate women’s bodies.
But, it’s perfectly and absolutely okay to tell mothers that they should breastfeed.
The government shouldn’t tell women what they can and can’t do with their bodies. But, Hollywood and the liberal elite can.
I know I’m taking a lot of generalizations and simplifications here. But, still, doesn’t this just scream ironic?
Then, to top it all off, these issues are created by a man when abortion and the care of a child have been, traditionally, female issues.
If a man is pregnant, does that mean that he could have an abortion? Would a man become pregnant just so he could experience an abortion? I guess that men would have to menstrate. Would that be renamed something like ‘femstrate’ to divorce the word from the incorrect male connection?
I’m confused.
Anyway, this was just a half-baked idea that I wanted to share.
There it is.
