I’ve just spent two hours working on the classes.
New term – new class – new posts – new students.
I have yet to be called a racist pig-dog and I don’t think I’ve upset anyone yet.
So far, so good.
Maybe I should start counting the hours to see how long it takes.
Yes, serious optimism here. Max optimism.
Didn’t see a movie but had a late lunch with Amanda.
I did change it up a little. I tried the garlic shrimp scampi.
– I was disheartened that it arrived in a bowl of butter-oil which is entirely against my grain. But I ate it anyway.
It had great flavor but just the oil field it arrived in is something that I could have a hard time getting over. But that’s on me. And I ate it.
Amanda also treated me to a top-shelf strawberry margarita.
I’m not sure what the difference is between top, bottom, and middle shelf. But it was sweet, cold, and had a great taste.
I didn’t drink all of it but most. While I don’t mind the burn from the alcohol, I’m not used to the flavor of the alcohol. Could those – flavor and burn – be considered different? I think they are.
The more the ice melted and warm the margarita became, the more I could taste the alcohol. I didn’t like that although the sweet burn was satisfying.
And that was the first alcohol beverage I’ve had in over a year.
Honestly, I’m grateful that Amanda made it top-shelf.
Since I don’t drink, knowing what I am consuming is higher end is helpful and serious spoilage.
So… win-win for me.
I took in calories via butter oil and alcohol that I wouldn’t normally have. See?
I’m getting better and better.
Tomorrow… yeah, tomorrow is mowing and house cleaning day. Mowing providing it doesn’t rain during the day.
Today was gym day and I watched an episode of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire.
Meh…. wasn’t impressed. I also watched several episodes of the AMC+ Fear the Walking Dead.
Another meh… I’m seriously not impressed. I’ve already deduced that the least valuable main character – the divorced mom who wants to be a nurse – will be bitten and killed by her former husband. I’ll probably watch the show to that point to confirm how right I am before dropping it.
I’m thinking I’ll try Discovery of Witches next. If that sucks, it’s off to the safe arms of Futurama’s season 11 on Hulu.
Thank goodness there’s something on that’s worth watching.
I also picked up the comforter from the dry cleaners. That was $35 but it looks new and I think all of the blood stains are gone. I need to double check.
I also cashed the $`1.15 class action lawsuit check I got from somewhere. I know it’s just over a dollar but if I buy something from the Peridot store maybe I won’t feel so guilty about it. Maybe.
So… yeah… the first full day Jason in Indy has been productive.
I think tomorrow will be too. It’s going to be a good day.
