I kind of have to feel for the journalists.
They “actually” have a job now.
After four years of non-reporting and hiding the Biden’s fumbles, there has been a constant and rapid fire changes in policy through the drama of executive orders. The nominations of cabinet members need coverage since, at this point, most of America seems familiar with their names. They’re all but celebrities.
Then, there’s the drama, drama, drama.
Will Fetterman become a Republican? Did Gavin bend the knee to Trump? What will happen with the student loans, tariffs, and the repeal of DEI? What companies and organizations are denying the EOs and what will happen?
DUN
DUN
DUNNNNN
After years and years of cover-ups and only one somewhat news story a week, there’s no need to prop up and glorify every little quiver in the stock market or careful edits to prove that Biden doesn’t always talk to ghost people.
Real changes are happening and there’s absolutely no telling how this is going to work out.
We went from a slow carousel to Space Mountain on steroids. Seriously. It could be Space Mountain if we’re going to Mars, like Trump claims.
Is Trump jacked up on Red Bull?
Unpacking…
I don’t like the AI integration into healthcare. I don’t like AI integration at all. It’s easy. It’s fast and additionally hinders critical thinking. Since it’s “free” and most consider it an authority… Well, at least my students think it is… AI is going to be a more extreme and controlling crutch when compared to just doing everything for ourselves.
Now, it’ll be able to diagnosis people with diseases and behavioral issues while pushing the pills and brain washing required to make us into sheeple.
Or, more sheeple than we are now.
The DEI abandonment is generally good. I support that. BUT, part of it means that clinical trials don’t have to have an equal testing majority across races.
I’m not fond of this idea. Clinical trials should be from people with different medical backgrounds.
Traditionally, experimental drugs have been tested on white males. But they could easily have adverse effects on people like African American who may have sickle cell disease. That places them at higher risk that’s simply not tested for.
To be fair and avoid generational complications, all potential combinations of drugs and patients should be tested if possible.
I have no idea about the whole buying Greenland and the 51st state of Canada. I think that’s just fluff. But, who knows.
I don’t support lowering the interest rates. Yes, this could encourage business growth but it also increases inflation. Should the tariffs go through, a lot of people are going to suffer – maybe even more so with Trump than Biden – until manufacturing is restored to America. We’re too reliant on foreign nations to have an easy switch.
I suspect that those nations won’t let it happen easily either.
It’s going to be exceedingly difficult for manufacturing to come back while inflation ever increases.
There are several people who barely survive now. They won’t then without governmental assistance.
For – government letting states decide what books should be banned.
For – MLK, JFK, and other documents being declassified.
For _ J6 pardons.
Queasy on college scholarships being taxed. This could cause the cost for students to go up — not that college is worth crap anyway.
But, should Trump have a free or no-cost college that he promised, students will flock there for… brainwashing? College would essentially be controlled by the government instead of shadowy Chinese and foreign nation donations.
The whole thing seems very 1940s to me.
At one point, I won’t care. My adjunct position will be replaced by an AI. EASILY.
So….. yeah.
There’s no need to worry. I can’t do anything about it so why wasted the energy?
I still don’t think Trump is the hero we need.
I guess the real question is if he is a player or being played.
